Drawing
My current drawings investigate how an image can remain present while access to it is interrupted. Ink drawings are folded, layered, perforated through laser cutting, or combined with reflective aluminum tape. Repeated openings and circular forms expose, obscure, and reorganize the underlying image, shifting between bodily, botanical, architectural, and abstract associations. Physical openings, reflected light, and cast shadows make the surface active rather than neutral. These processes connect drawing to materiality, repetition, accumulated time, and partial recognition, allowing an image to remain visible without becoming fully resolved.
